In this, the first live concert by the Chorale since December 2019 you’ll hear selections from Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, along with glorious new works by Kyle Pederson (Exultate, Jubilate), Daniel Schwandt’s sparkling new setting of Ding Dong! Merrily on High and much more!

Beethoven to Beatles
Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 3:00 PM
First Reformed Church, Holland

Beethoven meets the Beatles – it may seem like an unlikely combination, but there is more in common than you think! We’ll start with choral movements from the Beethoven Choral Fantasia, and sprinkle in new choral settings of his Moonlight Sonata and Appassionata. Did you know that the Beatles’ song Because was actually inspired by the harmonies of Moonlight Sonata? You’ll never hear it the same way again. But there’s more fabulous Beatles material, including Love Is All You Need and Here Comes the Sun!

Beethoven Symphony No. 9
Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 3:30 and 7:30 PM

Jack H. Miller Center, Hope College, Holland

More Beethoven! Don’t miss the Chorale’s long-awaited performance of the Beethoven Ninth Symphony, performed in collaboration with the Holland Symphony Orchestra and the choirs of Hope College.
